Anyone who knows me will know how much I love an interior design project. Trevor will tell you countless tales of coming home from work to half painted walls and furniture abandoned, mid-drag, across the room. It’s really serious when the tool box is out.
As daunting as moving Florence into her own room was, my clever husband offered me a deal I could not refuse…and so I was set loose on the nursery. After a few scribbled plans and a shopping trip or two here are the fruits of my labour…
With images of floral bunting and pastel hues dancing in my head there was really only one place for me to head, The Little White Company. Such beauty is packed into The White Company and their ‘Little’ section is to die for. If you do decide to pay a visit however may I suggest leaving your little ones at home unless you intend to pose a rebrand ‘The Slightly Sticky Brown White Company’. I digress, it is from this cave of wonders that I picked up this fab flag bunting and fell in love with our cloud mobile.
I also couldn’t resist this floral pony that now sits pride of place on the dresser alongside a Tangled snow globe and an Ikea children’s mirror. This mirror was a truly ingenious purchase, with it’s plastic surface and padded frame it’s baby friendly and provides endless vain entertainment! Stick it at the end of the cot in the mornings and you can actually have a full five minutes to pee and even brush your teeth (how decadent!).
We added a few finishing touches like these lovely personalised wooden blocks we received as a gift, a Cath Kinston teddy bear to keep watch in the cot and a handy storage basket by Minene in yet more floral print and voila! The Little White Nursery was complete.
